After 2012’s Valentine’s Red Velvet cupcakes, this year I’m trying something different; a double layer individual chocolate cake that says LOVE sweeter than any bunch of flowers. Hand-delivered  with a personal message to your Valentine’s door on Thursday 14th February.

Each cake is two layers of 10cm x 10cm fine-crumbed chocolate sponge, sandwiched with a rich sour-cream and chocolate filling, topped with a white chocolate cream-cheese frosting and a hand-cut red fondant LOVE motif. Tied with a wide red ribbon, presented in an individual window box with your personal message printed on a special Valentine card, it’s both delicious looking and tasting with plenty of cake to share.

Cost per cake (includes 6% BTW and delivery in central Amsterdam on Thursday 14th February) is €25.

Village Cardholders  only pay €20, if you don’t already have a Village Card, why not? Check out the benefits on Facebook – Village Card

Unfortunately, I can’t cater for any special dietary requirements such as lactose-free or gluten-free on this occasion, sorry.

Central Amsterdam is a bit of a moveable feast but basically includes the city inside the A10 ring-road excluding Amsterdam Noord, Zuid-Oost, Ijburg and Zeeburg, but including ZuiderAmstel and Slotervaart.

Delivery addresses have to be offices or places where someone is pretty much guaranteed to be there to take delivery throughout the day (09.00-17.00). Due to the number of orders that have to be fulfilled on that single day, it isn’t possible to specify a time slot for delivery.

If no-one is available to take delivery, I will do my utmost to find a neighbour willing to accept the cake, and I will leave a card at the delivery address indicating where the delivery is. No refunds will be given in any (hopefully very rare) cases where delivery isn’t possible and I will of course contact the person who ordered the cake by phone to advise them. Pick-up from Cake Central at Sluisstraat 42-HS from 17.00 is always possible.

Ordering and payment

Last year I delivered nearly 600 cupcakes and learnt a lot about administration and logistics, so this year I’m simplifying the process so everyone can have peace of mind that the right cakes and messages will be delivered to the the right people on the right day, and that I spend more time making great cake for you all than wading through manual invoicing and email to-ing and fro-ing.

I know forms are boring, but items with an asterisk must be completed as well as the quiz. Sorry, but we get lots of spam emails, and I need to make looking up addresses on Google Maps as simple as possible.

You’ll receive a confirmation email from me within 24 hours of submitting your order and an invoice with Dutch bank details so you can transfer the balance in good time. As a small business, I really appreciate prompt payment, and naturally, no orders can be delivered without payment.
